I keep off the roads on the very rare occasions that we get snow, to save myself from the other idiots out there. I'm amazed to be north of the mason dixon and to see everybody out and about the day after a four foot dump. Fewer school snow days up here for sure. But I...GG:I didn't think Texas got snow either! But I remember a few years ago that even Mexico City got a freak snowfall. So I guess Texas was due ;)

Liza: Is the driving bad there? I've never been to New Mexico. Mr. A's uncle lives in Santa Fe. He's a nuclear physicist. I wonder if he can drive in the snow. Actually, he probably has a driver...and a butler...I'm rambling, sorry lol.

But yeah. Jacksonville is horrendous. I think it probably has something to do with the average age of the people who live here too. With Marines, it's gotta be somewhere around 20 lol.

Noelle: It's an experience! You're lucky you've never had to do it lol. I will post pics, believe me! I'll try to take a walk with my camera though, so you're not just looking at the same shots, with a tad more snow lol.

FG: I'm glad someone can attest to the madness! Ladies and gentlemen, we have a witness! :D Yeah, I loved that little snowman. He lasted for 2 days lol.

CF: Yeah, you're right. In Canada, we'd almost never had a snow day. If you could dig yourself out with a shovel, you'd be expected to make it to work or school. That's why my friends from there laugh so hard at me living here :P

Jess: I think we're going to get about the same here too. They changed the forecast from this morning. People at work were talking about that 1989 storm here tonight. It was infamous, apparently lol. There's a restaurant we frequent in Beaufort, NC called Clawson's. They have a picture up on the wall of the place buried in snow that year lol.

Jim: Thank you! :) I'm so glad I still get the urge to act like a little kid and play in the snow. I don't think people should ever lose that :D I wish I had a hill to sled down...heck, I wish there was a store around here that sold sleds! I'd have to slide down on a cookie sheet LOL

Gippy: I'm surprised it even snows that frequently, from what I hear from my Australian friends (who live near your area). No wonder everyone rushes to the window! :DKynahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13222304237028745181noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5674336400331431860.post-13425534806244545342010-02-12T17:53:23.074-05:002010-02-12T17:53:23.074-05:00It snows in my area about once every six or seven ...It snows in my area about once every six or seven years (although the nearby mountains do get a coverage most winters).
Last time it happened in the valley I was working in an office of about 100 people and each and every one of us stopped and ran to the window to gawp at it! It is never cold enough to settle on the ground here, so no snow angels for me :(Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5674336400331431860.post-55749754178754109942010-02-12T17:10:33.031-05:002010-02-12T17:10:33.031-05:00Nice snow angel. I have a hard time believing your drivers could be worse than drivers in New Mexico. Here, they drive like they forget they're driving. Like, "la, la, la, la, oh, I'm driving, oops."
