No Sheet, Sherlock

Someone got her grubby little North American hands on the new episode of BBC's 'Sherlock' that aired in England on Sunday.

If I wasn't obsessed before...

Well, I was of course. But now it's progressed into a full on '12-step program' type of problem.

If you haven't listened to me and watched 'Sherlock' yet, what the hell are you doing sitting here reading this blog post??

Fucking brilliant. This season's started off even better than the last.

Irene Adler is introduced, and she's a trip in this version.

Takes 'crafty bitch' to a whole new level.

Crafty naked bitch.

I've said it before, but it has to be said again. The writers on this program are genius. It's ridiculous.

They even found a clever way to get Sherlock into a deerstalker cap for a second.

Oh, and as you can guess from the title, I got to see a nearly-naked Cumberbatch. I can die happy.

Phwoar x 1000000000.

GO. WATCH IT.

NOW.

Edit: I decided to start my own Tumblr blog to feed my Ben-addiction. Please visit Cumberbitch Sandwich if you suffer from the same glorious affliction.

Woo-hoo! Thanks on behalf of Cumberbitches everywhere!

Wasn't that a great fucking episode? Brilliant.

Sounds fun I'll have to catch it!

We watched the first three episodes before Christmas. I have to say, it's brilliantly done, and I've lots of incarnations of Sherlocks over the years (Cumberbatch takes the prize as the cutest of course), and I'm so damn impatient for the new episodes. I can't believe you saw the new one already! Me <--------- JEALOUS! :P

Is the glory that is BBC Sherlock Netflix-able?

You are speaking of part two of three right? This show is terrific. I prefer both my Holmes and my Watson to be a bit damaged for them to work best together. If you can watch shows on your Nook I have several suggestions.

ps I have seen mr Cumberbatch LIVE at the National theatre!!!

Okay, yes, you might have lost your mind a little here on this Sherlock thing! :)

John: Where'd your first post disappear to? Now I look crazier than I am.

(just so everyone knows I'm not completely nuts and talking to myself, John mentioned he put me in his blog today, and I responded...the comment has disappeared...watch, it'll reappear after I post this...computers :P)

Al: You'll have to. It's awesome. Do it. DO IT.

Clare: *cough*wasntexactlylegal*cough*

Worth it though. If Interpol showed up on my doorstep, I'd be shouting 'IT WAS WORTH IT!!' as I was being dragged away and shoved into their windowless van in shackles.

Sarah: I believe the first three episodes from last year are on Netflix. I just bought 'em straight out after my I gave my friend back her copy.

This new episode I had to seek out in other places...*shifty*

Cal: I'm talking about the newly aired episode 1 from season 2. I didn't have to wait till May to see it after all :)

John: Ooh, ooh! Can I compete with you? I have a friend that is involved in London theater circles and witnessed him dancing to David Bowie's 'Let's Dance' earlier this year at a theater party, whilst wearing sparkly loafers. I wasn't there, but that's the next best thing.

(But yours is also pretty awesome. Can you adopt me?)

Jess: I can't remember if you said you watched these ones...but I think not?

Or else you wouldn't be talking this crazy talk.

Crazy talk! :P

I am so glad that there is another episode for me to enjoy. I am 'acquiring' it as we speak.

Judith said...

oooh! I wish I knew how to do this "acquiring" of which you speak! I have heard the young ones speak of such mysteries. But even if I did know how, I doubt my crappy broadband would be up to the challenge.

Lara Pulver was fantastic as Adler, and it is her scenes with Sherlock which make this episode great rather than merely very good.

A strong, confident, funny start to the new series. Welcome back!

Cal: Hope you liked it as much as I did! I hear there was some controversy about the nudity and the ep being shown before 9pm.

I find it amusing that the nudity is a problem, but the whipping of someone with a riding crop isn't an issue.

Not that THAT's an issue with me. I'd like to take a riding crop to that man *rwoar*

Judith: I don't know shit about bandwidth requirements, but you can try graboid.com. My fictitious girlfriend up in Canada told me about it ;)

Slouching: I didn't expect to like Irene as much as I did. Lara Pulver did an awesome job. But the whole cast is just magical.

It was so terrific I could barely keep myself from peeing with joy. The cute moments and the final fun reveals was a particularly entertaining piece of television. We live in a golden age.

I like that they gave us more insight into why the characters are the way they are. Sherlock, John, Mycroft.

One of my favourite bits is where Mycroft and Sherlock are talking and Sherlock asks Mycroft if he thinks something went wrong with them, for them to be the way they are.

The whole thing was just brilliant.

Cal's Canadian Cave of Coolness said...

Don't even get me started on the complexities in the relationship between Mycroft and John. I also like the running gag with Watson thinking he is going to get some from Mycrofts beautiful assistant. Never gets old.

Kyna said...

No, you shouldn't get ME started, if you haven't already noticed, I could talk about this shit all day ;P

I liked that we got to see deeper into Mycroft in general. The scene where he's sitting by himself, defeated, was sort of heartbreaking. He's got such a big ego and is always so flippant when others are around.

And I liked how they looked at John's relationships with everyone. How he can't keep a girl because none of them comes before Sherlock (giggety).

The Christmas party scene was so delightfully uncomfortable, that I was squirming. Poor Molly. lol

Cal's Canadian Cave of Coolness said...

Molly is such a doormat. I squirm just watching her too. I suspect that someone will brainwash her into shooting Sherlock at some time in the future. How does she not slap him with a frying pan or bunsen burner.

You knew that Cummber is the villain in the new Star Trek movie. I wonder what that will be like.

Kyna said...

Haha! Last night two of my friends told me that on FB. Then today a work friend was really excited to tell me the news. I told her that other people already told me on FB, and her face fell a little. I felt kind of bad! lol Just shows me that so many people care about my happiness to indulge my Cumberobsession. No matter how irritated they are by it ;)

We were debating on what kind of villain he'd be. Myself, I'm hoping that he's an evil alien lord that shoots sex lasers from his penis, but whatever. :)

You love for him matches your personality. He is the perfect guy for you. Just the person whose sentences you can't finish in your head. So you like them lanky and you like them crazy. Get him to flash a smile everyonce in awhile won't cha?

Kyna said...

Smuggle him into a room with me for an hour, and he'd never stop smiling.

That is a great title for a coffee table book. Make it a pop up edition and you got yourself a winner.

Great. Thanks a lot!!!

I'm off work with a fever, and due to this entry I started watching the first episode of Sherlock last night. Not only am I now watching through the rest of the episodes, but I'm also crushing majorly on Dr. Watson...

Kyna said...

Cal: I've seen weirder pop-up books...

Soren: Hey, nice to see you!

People always end up thanking me for getting them into this ;) Even if they have to lose sleep or loe valuable time doing other things, like spending time with loved ones lol Not one person has told me it wasn't worth my recommendations.

Well, as long as I get Sherlock, there's no reason why you can't have Dr. Watson. I love him too though, he makes you want to put him in your pocket and take him home with you :D

Thanks to your blog here, I am currently beginning to watch Sherlock on Netflix. I believe we're on episode two and lovin' it. Thanks!

Kyna said...

So glad you decided to watch! :D Love hearing that people love at as much as I do.

Well, maybe not AS much, but a lot! ;)
