...now I'm jealous of you. I just returned from Hilton Head, SC and the beautiful ocean there. I miss it so much already. You're lucky you're just a drive away from the ocean!
Kelly: I am lucky, that's what I was reminding myself of! lol I would bet most of the people on the beach today weren't locals...I'm lucky to be a local! :)
Well, I'm sure I was MOSTLY full of shit. Of course I'd love to be in Italy.
But...I still think a lot of people take the beauty of where they're living for granted. I know I did when I lived in Canada. So I'm not going to do that now :)
I tell what ruins that beach; those bloody children!
I was thinking of going to Italy for a few days (yeah, for my belated Birthday), but I might do Serbia, or Russia, or Slovakia. Oh, I don't know, there's Bulgaria too.
I'll Google them to see which doesn't allow children out in public.
Ok. This post was supposed to be about how one should appreciate their surroundings, there's beauty in every place...
I give up. I'm full of shit.
Because I would give my left tit (ok, maybe not my left tit, they're how I sell more books!) to be able to say, "Hmmmm? I WAS going to go to Italy for my birthday, but maybe I should choose Russia? Or maybe pop over for a poppadum in India? Or throw a shrimp on the BBQ in Australia? Or maybe even go to the fucking moon??"

Jim: True dat. :)
I love hearing the voices of people I know only through the internet... I must try to do a short video myself, some day...
And it looks like a great beach, and while Italy is beautiful and full of ancient marble, the sand on a beach is even older.
